Boston College vs Brown preview
27 Oct 2006
Boston College will travel to Brown on Saturday to begin their 2006 campaign.
New coaches John Dalton and Willie Tonery will provide much needed guidance to a program that has offered so much but provided very little. They have both been very experienced players for the successful Boston Irish Wolfhound and their knowledge of the game will give Boston College an extra edge this year.
They have already recorded an impressive pre season victory against a competitive Amherst outfit which key players Phil Albanese and Dale Du Preez took man of the match honors.
They will again rely on domination in the forward pack and will most likely base their game plan around an aggressive rolling maul. Their solid foundation at set piece will provide their backs with plenty of ball.
Brown on the other hand, are an unknown quantity.
They had a good pre season victory against Providence College which will be the confidence they need going into a competitive competition.
Boston College should win this one but look for Brown to improve on last years efforts.
