UAlbany Rugby
Year:
Junior
Positions: Lock + 8 Man

How long have you been playing rugby?
I have been playing rugby for just about a year now.

What influenced you to start playing rugby?
My sister,
Kristin LaVallie, who played for Norwich University, and my friends.

What are the best things about playing rugby?
The best things about rugby are just being able to be on a team again.

Being on a rugby team is completely different than your high school football team. Everyone in rugby is there to work hard with the one goal of making the team better , not to just say you played the sport.

Do you think you will continue playing rugby once you have finished college?
I will absolutely play rugby after college. I am looking forward to playing with some of the older guys and hopefully playing with one of the top clubs.

Who have been the biggest influences in your career?
My three UAlbany coaches (John Durant, Pete Zilgme and Dave Farison) along with last year's seniors (Frank Adams, Bill Bruno, and Parker Smith)

What's your opinion on the state of American rugby?
I think that it is slowly growing. But football will always be the top sport in the USA, just because it is an American sport. I like though that more people are getting involved in it.

Would you like to represent the USA Eagles at any stage?
I continue to work hard to improve my game and if that chance arose, then most definitely yes.
